Reflections

Watch this space for the pre trip reflections by the students

The purpose of going taiwan is to learn something about basketball and hopefully we can use it for our b div. When i go there i expect the schools there to be very strong and aggressive but i feel that if we work and play together as a team,we can win them but if we lose ,we can take it as a learning experience and from there we can improve for our b div. My main goal is to at least get to second round of b Div as ultimately all of our trainings,t net, and this trip is to gear up for our b div
Hao Yu , 3E2

During our trip at taiwan i expect for it to be a learning experience where we will go up against very good schools as i expect taiwan’s basketball standard to be higher there and i believe from this we can learn and pick up some tricks from them and use the opportunity to fight for the win against schools that might be what we don’t normally see in singapore. And i hope to come out of taiwan a better teammate and improve my overall game and i hope the same for the rest of the team if we really want to go far in the upcoming b division as i believe we are all very determined to go far this time with our own strengths

Zheng Xuan, 3E4

The first reason I would love to go for the Taiwan trip is I can bond with my teammates more , I am not very close with my Sec 3 teammates , hence this trip would give me an opportunity for me to bond with my teammates especially the Sec 3s , another reason is I could learn the culture of Taiwan , the interesting type of foods , and how they speak their languages speak , I personally think that Taiwan is popular for their night market , I am excited to see what the night market sells , and it can surely bring good vibes to us. Second reason is I would want to know how their school is , how the students study in school and could  make friends and bond with them , I am sure the friendly match against them can surely make this trip more enjoyable and more meaningful . I could even learn from them some basketball skills for me to improve further . When I reach back to Singapore , I would love to share to my parents how this Taiwan Trip will affect me positively and I will not forget the memories I would make with them and my teammates .

Muhaeimin , 2N1

Through the taiwan trip, i look foward strengthing the team unity and foster camaraderie with my fellow peers. It would be a great chance for to apply what we have been taught in school. While facing the stronger Taiwanese teams, it would be a great eye opener for us to learn from them. Furthermore, allowing us to showcase our core values as we fight through adversity. I look foward to this trip hoping that it would ignite our passion for basketball and spur us on for not just our upcoming b division but also in life.

Through this taiwan trip with my teammates i am expecting that we get to know one another better. Meeting potential opponents that are more experienced than us gives us the chances to find out the weak points that the team have to work on and knowing where we stand, this will push us further and building team chemistry on the way. After this trip, I certain the team will perform well and advance further in our upcoming Bdiv. It would be a fruitful experience for us.
